If you have watched the weather today you may know that Missouri got slammed by a winter storm. My neighbor had some issues getting his MINI up our road this morning. 14" and counting, I am so ready for spring !!!!
Sleet and ice, here too. So my mini is comfy in the garage for today wife don't want me to take her out for donuts, and other mischief on the roads.
I drive mine in the winter, but they are calling for an ice storm here. Snow is no problem, but ice, no thanks. I'll be staying off the roads until the temp rises a bit tomorrow. Just got back from the store with a load of survival rations. :donut1:
:cornut: We're in the warm belt of the 'climate change' down here in Texas. In Jun-mid Sep, it'll be the hot scorching draught belt. Jason
Heavy snow here last night and today. HAD to run a couple of errands getting stuck and unstuck half a dozen times while driving 2 or 3 miles putting maybe 6 or 7 miles on the odometer. Spring can come and go. I like the tunderstorms and what they bring even less.
About 6" of snow in our part of metro STL, enough to overwhelm the "light snow ability" of the "all-season" tires fitted to so many cars. Lots of stuck cars and tow truck action. The evening news snow storm coverage featured a red Nissan Sentra Type R with Yoko AD08's being fished onto a flat bed. Not a good day for racy summer tires. With NM springs, 6" was just enough start plowing with those front fender under spoilers, glad I got home when I did.
We don't get our snow from that storm till Saturday night so looking forward to digging out Sunday morning....
We got ice...M/A World HQ here in hipster central is nice and toasty with plenty of fresh roasted coffee on hand so no reason to slip and slide today.
Here in central Indiana we got barely any snow, mostly ice and such. We haven't had a proper storm for years.
We just hit 33 degrees here. Slippery does not do it justice. What is slipperier than ice? Ice with a film of water on it. Pretty funny trying to take the recycle to the curb.
I managed to drive to work without issues. Just the side streets are Ice, but all the mains were just fine.
Keep the bleepin snow far far FAR from NJ . . . The population here have enough to whine about . . . Can someone please pass me the cheese to go with this whine :biggrin5:
