Took advantage of the "tober" event and my wife took a test drive in a Countryman All 4. After the drive she said that she had been skeptical of how it would feel, but was very impressed. I'll admit the ride was very nice and it handled the turns very well. I believe there might be one of those in the driveway by the end of the year. Jim
It was, indeed, an "S" Mark. It was funny, because she was also checking out the lounge leather, the hands free calling and the upgraded stereo. All of the things she said I "did not need" when I ordered my MINI. When I asked why that was, the answer was simply, "this is different". Jim
LOL, marriage is not an equal necessity partnership Jim... Sounds very nice, haven't driven one yet so I don't know all the ends and outs of them, but I like the looks of them more everyday!! With the Countyman's size and weight, would think the S, the only way to go...
Went for a ride in the MotoringFile Countryman S as driven by Xeik on a Timbits mission over the weekend. I was impressed with the ride. One of the roads was being repaved and had manhole covers exposed. We hit a few of those yet the Countryman remained composed. If I was in the market for such a vehicle the Countryman would be on my short list.
