York, PA - At least person was injured -- and a Mini Cooper sustained serious damage -- after the vehicle crashed Aug 17 in East Manchester Township, according to a news release. Northeastern Regional Police said that on Friday, officers responded to the 4400 block of Starview Road, where they found the 2004 Mini Cooper off the road, in a drainage ditch. Police said the driver was heading west, when the Cooper's right tire dropped off the road and into a drainage ditch. The vehicle then hit a concrete drainage box with its right front undercarriage, ripping one of its coil-spring shock absorbers from where it was attached and snapping the axle, police said. Police did not provide further information on who was injured and the severity of those injuries. Source - http://www.ydr.com/local/ci_21404693/police-injury-suffered-mini-cooper-crash
You can see the spring from the front suspension just sticking into the ground by the wheel. Wonder what made the driver steer off the road
