I'm most excited that it makes my 1st Gen look better and better to me!! Just my opinion of course. Do hope for better drivetrain out of these next Gen MINIs..
I'm looking to forward to Dave.0 embracing the Gen 2 MINIs cause he dislikes the 3rd Gen ones even more... Sorry, I just had too.
Well this is ripe for the pickin'. But I'll be good. I just hope it looks better then the spy shots. the power train sounds good. Dave.O and 2 Gens No No it cant happen. I think the classic owners may wish for the good old days of the R53. Ok I just cant help it.
Yup it just shows BMW / MINI can build 7 or 8 models that are extra flugly and people will buy them because they are so "Not Nor Mal". The problem is they are still all the same poor running rolling carbon cans full of electronic controlled fecal matter. The fact is the classic mini and the retro classic 1st gen MINI's are driving purest cars and will always be the best model the brand ever made in the purest sense that less is much better than more.
Two BMW-related quotes you might enjoy, from the unlamented days of the long ago 528i...I wish I had the references... BMW rep on being asked how they could offer such a dumbed down model, replied, "it may be dog food, but the dogs love it." Caroll Shelby on being asked about the high price of BMWs, replied "that's not German engineering, that's German salesmanship!"
