Before ya'll get carried away with a wheel thread I'm in the very last stages of developing a wheel database where everyone can add data and images about their wheels.

Fingers and toes crossed that it will go live in the next few days....

It'll probably be full as soon as you put all of your wheels in it Nathan.

BTW, good to see you made it over here Kris.

Those look great on the MINI. One of my former co-workers buddies just installed (what I think are the same ones) a set on his C5 Vette. My first thought was, "damn. looks hard to clean!"

you should be running 225 or greater on an 8in wheel

He's using a narrower width for a better fit and aesthetic.

Nice set up. Slightly stretched the side wall too....

Sort of surprised you were able to get a 32mm offset to work. Did you have to modify the fenders for your car because I am sure it would not work too well in an R53 w/o rubbing issues.

hogwash. 195's or 205's max on an 8j

:lol:32 is still high. You start running into fitment issues on an 8j when it gets near 15mm.

You got that right! A 215 is way too skinny for an 8 in wheel, actually 225 is also too skinny. The stretched look......... :frown2:

For me, I like a little wheel protection as I am running 215s on a 7 inch wheel, perfect, at least perfect for me.

The last part is the only part I can agree with, but this is not a thread to debate tire stretching now is it. Let's get back to wheel fitment.

Those wheels make me feel funny in my no-no places :D

I used to not like the stretched look, and still wouldn't say it would look right on my car on it's current upgrade path. But the look has really grown on me to the point where I know want a VW Caddy just so I could stretch a set of 15" BBS RMs (and to make a 50+mpg diesel DD). Some of you have been really bad influences on me, there was a time when I would have been happy rocking a set of Konigs or some generic wheel but not any more.
