Last Sat after some succesfull runs at Santa Pod on our first stage dry nitrous system of 12.11 at 110 we decided to go back to work and try the 2nd stage on the dyno. We actived the dry 1st stage at 3k to 7k and the 2nd wet stage at 5k to 7k As you can see the Torque looked like a Mcdonalds M so thus we christened it the McDonalds tune We reset the FJO nitrous controller for the track and melted the tips ever so slightly at the top off 3 rd gear [ame]www.youtube.com/watch?v=REpIxL9dS4k&feature=player_embedded[/ame] We eventually run a 11.5644 @ 116,82 buy only running the 2nd stage in 2nd gear only.
Paul... 10s are on the way!! lol Were you driving ?? or Thomas?? Was the Beemer on the freaking Phone texting, or just asleep?? LOL Just me.................................... Thumper
Last year they managed a 12.90 on the engine... they were the first in the 12's. Here is his sig from another site! "Old Red 12.96 @ 105, with nitrous 11.16 @ 123 Brands 58.6 Cadwell 1.41.121 1.43g on Toyo888" Just me........................................ Thumper
LOL.. and Santa Pod ( that track) is a bit up hill !! It is an OLD B17 runway!! They have an AMERICAN Memoral in front honoring the Mighty 8th Air Force!! I about went off the road when I came to a turn and there was "Old Glory" in the quiet rolling hills of England!! I think the track is dry... just shinny?? LOL Thumper
It was Thomas driving as he's lighter The track wasn't wet that was the glue they put down, though yesterday they experimented with a new glue and its hasn't been received very well and they have 4 barrells off it. In drag racing those that are winners and hated are the ones who know how to get the car down the track in any condition, they usually have there car so sussed that they could proberly run very similar times down a dirt road I cant wait to be hated
Implying as an extreme because its not a common add on to a mini and i bet few daily drivers have it.
LOL..there are a bunch of NOS MINI's here in my town!! It is a cheap and safe way to push a 300 whp goal and not break the bank..lol And I have sideways launches all the time..LOL Just me............................................... Thumper
I am willing to bet there are many more NOS feed r53s, then there are turboed ones... Nice job guys on the time. Reaaaaally has me considering some nitrous. I've read our r53 motors are good for about a 75wet shot w/o otherwise tuned ? True?
I was at a 60 shot on no tune then went 80 shot with no tune... might be pushing the 100 shot, so I am still having fun on the 80, till I can get some good data loging. I would say that 75 is 'good to go'!! Just me..................................... Thumper
Paul! Huge props man! I can't wait for you guys to break the record! I know you will. Maybe I can be THERE this time. Keep up the great work my friend! By no means do I want to highjack this thread. I would just like for cal330ci to see where the bar is set. Paul was there for many of our races. Helping us with the trials of doing such nuttiness. It's why I know he'll be the one to beat it. Since this run the car ran 10.2 No NOS, all boost. However, NOS IS FUN! [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i33lTY-AH4g]YouTube - ABF Performance MINI COOPER at PINKS all out Englishtown, NJ[/ame]
:cornut:Thanks Man! That was great.(Sincere apologies for my last post to you. There's no excuse other than; 'I just lost it.'):nonod:Now back to our regularly scheduled thread. Jason:cornut:
Haha, apparently I missed the action. I did go look it up. I can see where my response was very much a sound bite. There's allot more to that thought. I often just don't bother putting the whole thing because I don't believe people will actually read it anyway. I realize how unbalanced my statement was. So, my bad. However, thanks for the heads up.
