As fewer and fewer MINI drivers wave at each other ("Save the Wave!" yell some MINI clubs), auto-ironist-funnyman Doug DeMuro ponders the question. Does your car inspire a wave? Does Your Car Inspire a Wave? | The Truth About Cars
I think we need a Save the Wave grill badge. I drove by a MINI this morning and I could see on the driver's face he was waiting to see if I was going to wave. (of course I did) and was surprised I did. The look of panic on his face when he couldn't respond was priceless. :biggrin5:
There's a girl that drives a pepper white cooper s in my neighborhood. I have waved at her with no responses so many time that it's not funny at all. I don't think she even notices it. Next time I will honk, flash my headlights, get my head out the windows, and wave as if I was campaigning. I will not give up! Lol

I wave and I get looks from some other MINI drivers like I'm crazy because they don't know who I am. Often times they wave back with the same look just so they don't miss something.
I gave a wave to a dude I saw driving a yellow MCS up here at easton the other day. He looked at me like I was smoking crack while wearing a dildo hat.
:cornut: I wave. Heck in Texas if you're on a country road, everyone waves at everyone even them new fangled furin cars. Jason
We...my wife and I...wave! The other day we were going to a small event with our local MINI club and we needed some fuel for the GP. So I turn into a station on the route and exiting the station is a Countryman All4 S with a thirtysomething woman driving, and as normal, my wife and I both waved quickly. She was looking our way to see if the street was clear to exit, but she saw us wave and waved back. A couple of weeks ago I was out for some late night street food motoring along with the GP. As I entered a highway I passed a yellow R50 waiting to enter the same road. We pulled up together side by side at the first street light. I looked over and see a young female looking at me, so I said "Nice MINI!". She looked at me, picked up her cell phone and started doing something...so I motored on. Figured I upset her... Wave on! I usually throw a 'peace' or thumbs up.
I still wave. Its been a few years ago I stopped at a light and Mini pulled up next to me. When I looked over a young oriental cupel were in the Mini smiling at me. I waved and at the same time both of them started waving very fast with big smiles. Of course I had to wave agin as I pulled away. I miss the days when people were excited about their Mini. Now I see people treating them like a Camry or Prius. (I hate Prius) I shutter to thank of all those R53 being fed 87 octane.
Also big among Goldwing riders and other motorcyclists. Just not those pansies driving the canam spyders.
