Well Columbus, We lost a truly great citizen this week. Cindy King the former owner of Nancy's Home Cooking for 41 years past away Sat. Beyond the fact that she made a mean old fashion chicken and noodles, she also routinely, quietly, made meals for special groups and fundraisers. And she donated her work often. She may have had a limited menu, but you never left hungry. I always heard that she wouldn't let you pay if you were in the military, police, fire. Can't say first hand if that is true, but I can say that I volunteered one time for a charity that had no money and needed to make food for a large meal. Cindy found out and donated everything. Never sent a bill and would have been embarrassed if people knew she had done that. RIP Cindy, Job well done
Cindy was a great person who fed anybody who was hungry a great meal. Nancy's just isn't the same without her. RIP
