Hi M/A, I'm thinking of getting new wheels for my R56. The wheels I'm looking at are APEX ARC-8 from APEX Racing. The wheels in question would be for the e30 3 series, the stats on these wheels are: Center Bore: 57.1mm Offset: ET25 With the R56 being a Center Bore of 56.1 and an ET of 48, I know the ARC-8 will poke but the center bore and the offset I'm just curious, 1) will there be any vibrations being a millimeter off for the center bore and 2) with the offset will there be any issues with the ARC-8 possibly contacting the suspension/brakes? Thanks and Happy Motoring
@DneprDave here is the link to the wheels https://www.apexraceparts.com/store/wheels/arc-8-wheels/17x8-et25-4-lug-apex-arc-8-wheel.html @MCS02 yeah they are great looking wheels, I'm thinking of getting them in Anthracite
Thanks, they look nice. Though, I prefer a wheel that has the center section set in from the edge of the wheel, So there is a little ledge. Bringing the spokes right to the edge of the wheel just grates on me.
I had the same issue when I bought new wheels. They do sell center bore adapters to fill in that space you mention, you would have to verify required size. Some wheel and tire sites have fitment calculators that will give you a visual representation of how the wheel will look adjusting wheel and tire measurements. Not the one I used but this one should give you an idea of the setup you have now compared to the new one. Not perfect but it should give you an idea of what you are looking at. https://n4sm.com/wheel-offset-calculator
@GokartPilot thank you for the link to the wheel offset site in your post, I'm going to check it out. Center bore adapters are those kind of like hub centric rings?
Correct. Just a suggestion, I would stick with the metal type, didn’t see to many good comments about the plastic ones. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If I remember correctly mine were made by Circuit. It important to make sure the measurements they list are the ones you need. Close is not going to fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sounds good, thanks GokartPilot. I'm looking at them now. @GokartPilot just purchased them, had to go through Amazon. Thanks for the info
