I expected there to be a thread with 1,000,000 posts talking about the merger??? Are you not terrified of Burger King taking over the breakfast location???

Personally I hope they train the Timmy's people how to serve people faster the past few times I have been there the wait for someone picking doughnuts out of a case has been terrible.

Can it be any different than when Wendy's owned them? No worries, I'd say their stellar level of service will be maintained. :donut1:

Wonder what will happen to there side-by-side stores that share a location with a Wendy's (maybe that is just a C-bus thing)?

The thing is here in the US Tim's has nothing to distinguish themselves from the myriad of other places with a similar menu.

In Canada Tim's was often the first venue of it's kind in many of the small towns. They also do a lot to support the community. The chain plays off its founder’s hockey roots, sponsoring minor hockey development programs, and can be found in practically every city in the country. The company has 3,453 locations in Canada, more than McDonald’s has in Canada.

My own thought on this "merger" is the BK is buying Tim's to move the BK HQ to Canada where the taxes will be a lot lower over the long run. BK is not buying Tim's for the Timbits, but for the tax dodge.

Tax dodge yes, so many American companies have done the same thing or moved production off shore.:nonod: So since BK is going to save a boat load of cash I guess that means all of those poor working drone's at BK & Tim's will now receive a living wage.

Nathan don't buy into the media hype about the tax issue. That is a smoke screen, BK is going to spearhead the US corporate takeover of Canada! They will be injecting the Tim Bits with American Bacon (not that lame Canadian stuff) and those Canucks will vote Jeb Bush in as President shortly after we elect him here.

Canada can have BK, the "food" they offer is crap anyhow.

It's just a small payback for Justin Bieber.

I had a maple bacon donut last time I was in Cincy. The flavor was good but the bacon needed to be crisper. I didn't like a chewy donut.
