Just thought I would throw this out there...................

My 06 has a few mods.. Meth .. Nitrous... blah blah...!! I dont have any close tracks to run the turns and time laps. So I engage on the streets!! ( Like most of us do Time to Time)
This is all fun with the exception of being able to HOOK!! Torque steer.. blowing the tires away in 1-2 and part of 3rd!! WTF!! Totally Sux.

I have accepted the idea that it isnt my 67 Fastback Mustang... it is a FWD!! Torque steer or moving side ways on launch or sometimes when Hitting the bottle is OK. It rocks..( as long as I dont get too excited and ride to the other lane..lol) And the main fact it is an open diff. COOL Live with it! ( I have already up-dated and worked the front suspension)

Anyhow.. the point. There are a lot of DOT approved racing slicks/Radial 'street tires' ect at some really big prices. And WTF!! Put them only on the front , and when a set of good turns come up.......lol be ready for some cool drifts!! LOL SO, you need to put on all four corners!! TRACK TIRES!! YES !!
I am sorry but I really dont car about MILEAGE, or ride, or noise!! I just want to be the one in front!! cool??

I found these on the net... "Falken Azenis rt-615k " track tires for $146 ea AND FREE shipping to me!! Had them mounted at 'Discount tires' as they were one of the few tire places that can work the 40 size tires in this area!!
OMG!! WTF!! Old man HOOK'N !! I still break traction... but instead of running almost to red line ( 8000 rpm) and hoping the tires will hook and gain on the other guy, Rocking.. maybe a few hundred rpm of slip and then HOOKING!!
Third gear is now solid!! The tires work well in a rainny day ( just dont get stupid...lol) and the best part?? They look so stock it is scary!!
Mileage?? DoNo dont care!! They do what I want and I am sure with rotation I can get 1-1.5 years out of them, maybe more.... just gotta see!!

Just an old mans Sunday sharing..... ( Just dont give me any car lengths..lol)

Oh my...I actually agree with you on something!:biggrin5:

These are my street tire, I drive to the track on them, and I actually run them on the track instead of R-comps if it's really wet.

Hankook makes an even higher rated street tire than the Azenis, supposedly a bit better than the Azenis in the wet stuff, but I'm not sure on the price. The Falken's are really a great bang for the buck tire. Not for cold weather driving though.
