I live in snow country, but work in the SF BayArea. All wheel drive is best, so I'm wrestling with which MINI works for me.
First off welcome! Second I think the question is 'To Country(man) or not to Country(man)' as the hardtop or the Clubman do not have a all wheel offering A frontwheel drive hardtop/clubman with good snow tires or meaty all seasons can deal with snow but you say 'snow country' so I'm a little reluctant to say hardtop/clubman Good Luck
Righto! My main concern in the mountains near Yosemite is ground clearance. I suppose some type of air up or down suspension could be made or bought?
Our place is in Twain Harte, and I work all week in the Peninsula. Did I see that your MINI has a Cosworth power plant? One of my best friends had a new white Cosworth Vega he brought to Anchorage, Alaska, and everyone wanted to race him!(1975)
Yea my car has a Cosworth BV head. I dare to say that there is no comparison to a Cosworth Vega though  Our club is going to be in Sonora on Saturday, we will be eating lunch at the Peppery. Should be about 20 cars :cornut:
In Sonora Bummer about being there last Saturday, I worked in Menlo till noon then drove to TH. We like the Peppery Gar and Brill. Doug
Bummer you missed us We had 19 cars at the Peppery, they gave us first class service, her name was Crystal, she did an amazing job Most of us then went over to Columbia for some ice-cream and just hung out. It was a great run :cornut: Here is a pic with 20 cars, we lost one before Sonora
