So, autox season is upon us again and for me, the season started last weekend.
I ended up not being able to make it and missed out on some points.

Luckily I have time to catch up as we're allowed to drop a few events for season standings.

Anyway, I did manage to drop by the event and catch the racing. Lots of new and fast drivers out there this season as well as the battle hardened vets from previous seasons.

I ran into one of my compition and chatted about tires and pressures.

I run Toyo R1R's as does he. I asked what pressure he was running that day and he said 28psi. I said bulls*&t. That's got to be too low.

When I run I'm usually around 35psi and come down to 30.

He's got a slightly lighter can than my Mini and that could account for it, but 28 seems too low.

Anyone here have experience with Toyo R1R's and what pressures are you running?

    Thanks!

I run 28 to 30 PSI at the dragon when it's dry. The tires really heat up and the grip is great.

    I don't think he's crazy.

Alignment will have a lot to do with optimum pressure.

Yup, I make sure my alignment is always spot on before I make any adjustments.
