Hi all. I have a 2007 Mini cooper. I recently got an 'inactive' warning regarding tire inflation. Tires are all at pressure and system won't reset. After doing some reading, I have come to believe that my tire pressure monitoring sensor(s) battery is going. Is there any reason why I can't buy the Oro-tek brand for a third of what others places (dealer) are charging? Secondly, I can't believe I haven't read more about this. Am I the only one whose sensor has gone out? Thanks for your wisdom.
You would need to validate that the sensors work on the same frequency MINI uses for 2007. Keep in mind that they did make a change in the frequency used in mid to late 2009.
Contact Aaron @ Out Motoring..... He has the correct one's... That's where I got mine... MINI Cooper Accessories : MINI Cooper Parts : OutMotoring:
As time goes by we will start seeing more of the issue that you have. I have the same issue on my wife's MINI. Outmotoring!
I believe one of them is not functioning. Anson is going to plug Babs MINI into the mother-ship computer & tell me which one. Discount Tire tested to make sure they were sending signals & they are. That means the batteries are good according to them. I was told to take the car to the dealer. Instead I'm going to Best Auto Werks. It will get taken care of, no worries.
Kitty, Mark is in Canada, gnat is at Best Motor Werks, and Chuck is going to Best to have Anson diagnose his TPMS sensors.......now, who's on first?
