I've been coveting the Texas Speedwerks Jack Points ever since they were released... but had a hard time justifying spending money on them when my OEM jack points worked just fine, thank you.

But I jack up my car sooooo often (at least 40 times since I brought it home) that the OEM jack points lately have been getting kinda rickety... using the 2x4 method to jack the car onto four stands, it spends a lot of time leaning on one pair jack points at an angle... and those big chunks of snap-on plastic squirming around atop the jack stands does not inspire confidence. And the repeated use has them rattling around the rest of the time.

So I ordered a set of the TSW jack points from Dustin (AutoXCooper) on Monday. They arrived direct from TSW today. These things are so solid and pretty, it's a shame to bolt them on the bottom of the car... installed in 10 minutes, rock solid. Plus they don't protrude down so far that they're an eyesore like the OEM ones. Love them.

I've had the low profile TSW jack points on my R56 justa since September. They ROCK. I can't believe how easily the stock ones came off. I have the low profile ones which lets me use the most cheapest floor jack available, the stockers stick down too low to let that happen.

My rear ones are a little beaten up, given that I switch from street shoes to track shoes quite a bit.

Yeah, I'm not expecting the pretty finish to last long given how much I use them... but that's OK, as long as they're solid.

I too have had problems justifying the price. Even after one of my jackpoints broke free and the car fell on the jack. (ripped my sideskirt to shreds.) Nice to hear the TSWs are much better...but I'm still being cheap and sticking with my 2x4

    I agree 100% :yesnod:

Yeah, when I saw how easy the plastic ones came off and how damaged they were (after looking at them up-close in sunlight!) I'm glad I replaced them when I did. :eek6:

They will get pretty marred though. In fact, I scratched one already just taking it out of the plastic wrapping.

I've been using these since almost the day I bought the car. Today we finally changed from the short to the tall jack point to accomidate the Aero Kit's deeper side skirt.

    Tall and Short pictured...

    I like.

What do you do though when you put the low Jack Points on, and then move up to the Aero side skirt later which will require the taller Jack Points? Are the anchor nuts going to stay in the frame rail and rattle around?

Yes, moving to the Aero skirts will require the longer jack points. The Anchor nuts are removable. My short ones were just replaced with the longer ones along with all new hardware at TSW World HQ.

  16. dudes, i somehow lost 3 of my jack points lol. when i got the car, i had 2, now i only have 1 on my car. weird... i still have yet to check whether i had lost my last one :p
