Hello Everyone, I have been reading on the site since owning my mini. I recently had the timing chain rattle and decided to repair the turbo drain tube leak, my repairs went beyond that. LONG story short, I performed the walnut carbon blast and upon cleaning up under the car, I found a unique spacer(?) or cam piece. I was hoping that someone would be able to help identify it or point me in the direction of what it came off of. As I'm sure I'll be asked what else did I repair, here are the repairs I performed was the replacement of the water pump, friction wheel, tentioner, oil pan gasket, all engine mounts, coolant pipe, fuel injectors, and removed the front end to access the turbo/catalytic converter. Any help anyone could provide would be great! Thanks, jat2304
Thats the thingamabob that's belongs on the whatchamacallit. Everyone knows that! Ok I wist I knew. Is the car running? It looks like some sort of seal.
Hi, The mini is not running, I'm currently waiting on a couple of parts. I have looked on realoem. com for parts previously and am currently looking at it for this part. I have also utilized outmorting.com as they breakdown all of the fastners and spacers. I'm concern it may be part of a larger assembly that I have already put together. The piece is clean, as you can see in the photos - I did not wipe it down, and not dirty as most items I have removed. Again, thanks for the suggested site! jat2304
