Then if you call them about a part they don't know what it is, or will sell it to you not warning you that it is a coded part. That's why years ago we started buying up wrecked MINIs and now have a very large inventory of used MINI parts. Before we take apart any MINI we power up the car and get it running if possible. After that we test everything on the car to know what parts don't work and we need to trash. This way we know we are sending you a good working MINI part.
