This is my first post and I really love my 2002 mini. The car only has 34,000 miles so the seats were perfect so I just wanted to add some red to the interior. I used a red seat upholstery vinyl that looks like carbon fiber to wrap all of the pieces.
Welcome to Motoring Alliance, thanks for joining. You will need to turn on sharing for the photo in Flikr for the link to work.
Thanks, I locked the settings on my flickr because someone copied a product I make for a Lamborghini and used my pictures to market it. I am really excited about being part of this group. Thanks, Randy
Wow, that's nice! and welcome..... I want to add some red too. I just got some red/black coco mats from Drew and I want a bit more. You are not too far from me, I'm a bit above West Palm. Tracy
[/IMG] This carbon fiber vinyl is primary used as seating material for marine and automotive seating. The material is very durable and comes in five colors. The material can be heated and stretched but is not as workable as the film used to cover hoods and dashes.
[/IMG] This a better picture of the downtubes. After I covered them I had to sand the opening of the receiver openings to allow the covered pieces to fit. I also used the carbon fiber vinyl to change the binding of the carpet. I built the shift boot out of the same material and cut circles that fit into the base of the cup holders and covered as well.
