I have a 2008 Clubman S bought in Dec of 2012 with 68,000 miles. It now has 90,500. Since I bought it the check engine symbol has come on 3 times, first time right after i bought it. Took it back to the lot I bought it from. My son-in-law is a wholesaler for them and bought the car for me at auction in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. The code was misfire cylinder #4. Car was running fine. They changed plugs and cleared code. About 6 mos. later same code again. Again car was running great. They cleared code. 4 days ago it came on again. Took it back and this time it was misfire cylinder # 2. Couldn't clear code this time. They ordered coils and when replacing them noticed oil around the spark plugs. Replaced valve cover gasket and coils. Cleared code. Do you guys think this was the course of action?
