The 2008 MINI Cooper S Convertible is a tiny supercharged pocket rocket that will put a huge smile on your face all day long. With the top up it will transport four adults around town in cramped comfort but with the soft top down it will take two adults on a weekend get-a-way in style. Unlike the current turbocharged MINI Cooper S, the 2008 model is supercharged which means that the 168 HP of power and torque are almost instantly available at push of you toe. In another fun and informative TFLcar Modern Collectibles Exposed episode we drive and review the 2008 MINI Cooper S Convertible 0-60 MPH @ a mile high to see what makes it such a fun topless car to buy and collect.

Mine is an '06, but otherwise, looks just like that :D. After 7 years, I'm still as happy as he thinks I should be.

We've only had "the minion" ('08 S ragtop) for about a week, but I have to agree with the review above.

Pardon the hijack, but the front license plate assembly on the car in the video is the tastiest solution I've seen yet. Anyone know where I could get one?

    TIA

It came with every car for those states that require a silly front plate.

    Try asking a dealership.

Thats the OEM bit with a frame added.

I have 2 of them here. you are welcome to one if desired. Warning, it does require holes to be drilled in the bumper cover. There are better solutions out there that require holes.

Thanks for the offer, Nathan. I'm open to suggestion. My car doesn't have any kind of hatch cover over the tow hook (if there is one under there).

All 2nd Gen owners should watch that video and see why 1st gen owners are so loyal to the SC MINI.
