Found these on the floor of my garage. Not sure what the belong to. Wasn't even sure which forum to ask in.

Do you have the metal caliper bushings in your brakes? They look exactly like the clips that hold them in.

    Solid caliper bushing kit?

Only thing I know of that has snap rings.

They look like retaining clips, which I'm sure you already know, but I'm not sure where the might have come from. Does your sifter work OK? I have been told there is a clip in there that tends to come off.

I'm on stock brakes. Can't be that.

Damn, I bet that's it. The wife did just throw out the old sifter. Need to quiz her on where she disposed of it.

Yes. But the nipple rings get checked and lubed nightly. :ihih:

Did you buy the car new, or used? 'Cause if it's used, those retaining clips look exactly like the retaining clips on the Tyrol caliper bushings, which go on the stock calipers to replace the rubber bushings; maybe someone swapped them out. It's a relatively easy upgrade and you can't see it unless you really get in there and look.

On second thougt, it also could be a retaining clip for a Prince Albert ring. It's also a relatively easy upgrade and you can't see it unless you really get in there and look.

    (on all of it)

Personally i am pretty convinced those are for the bushings. I compared your image to some that i have still attached to my old stock brakes, and they are identical.

Sorry guys. I've owned both Mini's since new. No bushings on there. Could the have come off the Beemer?

Those are extremely hard to fall off by themselves. They would have to have been left off of something.

Any other equipment been worked on lately?

Not that I can think off. And come to think of it, one of them I found on the stairs in the garage. Surely these things can't climb stairs?

If you found them on the stairs, I'll go with my second guess FTW.
