I'm watching the rain and wind clean some of the pollen off the car.

Pollen is heavy here, too. Everything is yellow. At least the MINI is in the garage. I'm hibernating today. It was 86 degrees yesterday, and right now, it is 38. WTF?

I'm thinking the gods that taunt me know that I have a convertible Ferrari temporarily, which might have something to do with the weather. I was too busy to go for a drive yesterday when it was nice out. Figures.

    Dankeschön.

Princeton MINI closed back in September, unfortunately. In the meantime, I had to do some soul searching, and ended up landing at the local Mazda store. The Miata was a necessary move, and the R53 is going to a very particular local MINI enthusiast. Everyone wins.

Swapped out the tail lights, wish I got these sooner. :D The Cooper S badge was the real reason I never pulled the trigger, but it's gone now so why not.

So far today I have pulled the plugs on the Helmet to check them, they look good. I have changed the oil and rotated the tires on the R53. Next is a oil change for the Helmet maybe today. I am trying to decide if I want to flush the brakes on the Helmet with Supper Blue, although its not blue anymore. Other than that I think it is ready for the Dragon.

Today I got the oil changed and the tires rotated, along with 5 mm spacers installed. Looks great...but too cold to take a pic :)

The stereo is ok until you hear a upgraded custom system. o_O I guess it’s ok for a stock system.

Going out to pick up 5 gallons of VP M-1 Meth today for the Dragon. Yippie

I changed and stored the snows on my wife's S for the all seasons and got a brake fluid flush today, too.

Next week, the Cooper gets new brake fluid [Motul] for its trip to MOTD.

Why is it that the more I do to get ready to leave for the Dragon...the more I find I have yet to do? So far today, attached the spare trailer tire to the trailer, cleaned the air filter, cleaned the cd changer, and started learning how to pinstripe. I can't wait till everything's done !!!!!!

none of mine are leaking. I pre-emptively replaced one with another plastic tank (RockAuto, 30 bucks or so) because it was full makeover time for he car. but my 100k 13 year-old tank in the dark silver car is still fine.

I just don't like the pricey aftermarket aluminum tanks, although on AliExpress $60 buys you one that looks the same as the high priced locally sourced stuff, black or shiny, whatever rocks your boat. In my book, there's nothing wrong with a plastic tank that fails after 15 years of service at 200 degrees F under pressure. Cost of doing business. Just put a new one in and move on.

Installed a ByteTronik hidden dash cam today. Streams directly to your phone or iPad via WiFi. Very easy to wire because it just plugs into the OBD port. Has capability for up to 32gb micro sd card in the camera itself. Lots of different settings that can be done within the app. Cost- $110 shipped.
I figured this would be a good way to record some of the runs that my Grandson and I make at MOTD this year. Truly a stealth installation.
The link is to a friends writeup on the camera, with pictures.

Flexpipe was garbage and cracked. Got new OEM one back on there with new O2 sensor. Think it was also affecting the post catalytic too lean issue. Hooked up the laptop and cleared the memory. Haven't had any P2096 code or SES light the last few days. Just have to wait and see what long term will be and if it comes back.[IMG]
