Really MF. That article says nothing. We all know nothing about how this is going to play out, we are all in uncharted territory with Brexit. Again, MF has created "content" that says nothing, means nothing and accomplishes nothing.
Like us all, it is too early to know exactly what this "experiment" will mean in the future. To me, not good, but opinions are worth a dime a dozen at this point. Hopefully, MINI will be unscathed.
I have heard that it is the face of the new MINI that drove the good people of England to vote themselves out.
What a puff piece....... However, in the short term it's a great time to visit England, the pound is rumored to be heading to about 1.20...it hit 1.35 last night. Also, great time to stock up on classic Mini parts from the suppliers in England! I'm preparing an order as we "speak".......
Ha ha! No more design oversight from Brussels ;-) If anything the weak £ may make them cheaper here in the states, no?
You must think MINI is a British company. BMW might get some gain in profit margin, but only to lose it in cars sold in the UK. As for design, only if MINI pulls out of the EU market.
Clearly, PM Cameron pointed to MINI as a reason to vote "remain" in his defeated EU Referendum. Seems to me, might be a good time to buy a new one before MSRP rises as it likely will due to revised economic trade agreements plus German and other non-UK parts content...
Wonder how stiff their upper lip will be with the British pound taking a dive... Bangers and mash will be more expensive...

Longer term I hope it means England remains English....and does not become homogenized into a larger Europe. Short term..... it may depress the value of the £ compared to the €¥ and $ making further production INCREASES in England possible from a financial standpoint....but this means that the next decade or so might be tough economically for GB AND England.
Why do research when you can create "content " to get clicks? Yes...I am saying many articles are more of an Way to get clicks than actually inform the readers....this works for a bit...till you loose the respect of the readers, and they know not to click.... unfortunately I am getting close to not clicking.

Its all speculation at this point, but there is a lot of manufacturing on that island. The week pound will help that, but it will also cause goods coming to England to be more expensive. The question in my mind is how fast can the politicians secure agreements governing trade. markets do not like uncertainty. There is going to be a lot of money coming here and Japan because of the uncertainty. That will make the dollar worth more and our exports more expensive.
