Ok, I'm looking at buying a vinyl printer and I'm looking at ideas for things that MINI owners would like to buy. I know the number of vendors that sell stripes has declined recently but what other things would people like? I'm gauging interest to see if spending $3,000 for the printer will be worth it. I'm also looking at doing custom t-shirts also. Thank you everyone for your input. -Stephanie
I'd be more inclined to buy some cool t-shirts, as I can cut my own vinyl stuff. If you can print on perforated material that would be cool for the rear window, and the rear side windows.
Interesting roof graphics, other then the normal Union Jack and checkerboard. A source for these is very limited right now. Jim
I want the checkers that are on the side of the 2012 MINO WRC car..... for my R56... http://bmwblog-rus.com/wp-content/gallery/other/mini-john-cooper-works-wrc-11.jpg
How bout some thinking outside the regular stripe.. These checkers are actually lots of small ants, that you only notice once up close. The grapevines speak for themselves.. I like the idea of some splash/water stripes maybe coming apart as drops etc..Got to be printed to get them to look real..
Good ideas everyone. I'll write them down. As far as roof graphics, I won't be able to do them yet as I'm only looking at getting a 30" printer. The 50" is $15,000 and I don't have that kind of money right now...
I agree some thinking out of the box stripes. I saw a car with a-pillar stripes that had skulls in it but could nto really see it til you were up close
No doubt. That is a wife/husband combo there.. 2 of the coolest sets of stripes/checkers I've seen...
I would move to see dashboard panel graphics, as MINI motoring graphics no longer makes them. If possible, I'd suggest they be big enough to wrap around the edges of the dash pieces (the MMG did not wrap around).
I'm looking to find a nice printed MINI wings logo to go on the side amidst some flat black stripes I'm painting on. I would want it something like 50% larger than the 1st generation cars' trunk logo, which would make it about 7" x 3". I'll probably have a local graphics shop print a decal or sticker of it.
It'd be nice to also see some roof graphics and such for the Coupe, and graphics that fit the Coupe/Roadster. Since they are fairly new models and haven't sold in huge numbers, after market stuff is pretty scarce (i.e. open market space for a new business/company).
