Just squeezed a 24 inch kids bike in the back of my Cooper. Didn't think I could do it without removing the wheel but it somehow fit.. Not quite sure how to get it out yet.
No pics but here is a short list: A six foot step ladder 12 x 60 LB bags of mulch A Kitchen sink base unit The step ladder went in resting on the dash with the passenger seat reclined. The bags of mulch weighed 720 LB! Small effect on the handling. Didn't even bottom out. The kitchen sink base was needed to house our office safe in the closet. Went somewhat tightly in the back with both seats folded down.
Hey Ernesto, 'HOOKEM HORNS'. After seeing that Univ of Texas Burnt Orange bike, it's obvious that you're a 'Long Horn'.:cornut:Jason :cornut:
A NUT tent. Two different version. A keg. Various furniture in various stages of dis-assembly. And for the best one ever: a Christmas tree. Drove down the street with the top down and the tree standing straight up in the back seat. The SUV owners looked really confused as I pulled away as they were still trying to tie their trees to their roofs. Only in California.
Nothing more then my suitcase, a couple of fly rods and travel bar. We have an F-350 for all that big, dirty stuff. :nonod: Jim
I have hauled brick pavers, bags of mulch piled to the roof, a tablesaw, filing cabinets, rocks for the garden, tool boxes, up to 4 dogs, 8 foot lumber stuck out the passenger window, and a 10 foot Maple tree in a pot we planted in the yard a couple of years ago that is now pushing 20 feet. Oh, when I moved down here from Canada, my Lab, and everything I still owned. Mark
I semi-permanently carry this storage box I made to fit over my folded rear seats, which means I can carry my telescopic work ladder locked in place: A nice side effect is that with the wind breaker, left out for the photo, it makes the cockpit completely draught-free. Andrew
I hauled my 29" Univega touring bike in my Clubby - I could have even brought the seatback upright, had I moved the seat all the way forward, but I did remove the front wheel. I'm going to buy a hitch and a bike carrier tho, that's way too much bending and folding to do every time I want to ride.
I will dig up a photo I have somewhere, but I stuffed everything I had accumulated in my apartment on a ten month detail in Washington DC into my MINI for the ten hour drive home to Atlanta. I don't believe I could have stuffed another thing in there.
