I have noticed that the MINI crowd in the US are more willing to go bonkers with their MINIs which i like I love seeing a group of MINIs all together as it makes you see how different everyone is with modding theirs This was the Biggest Meet for my club Surrey New MINI here in the UK We did it at the historic Goodwood Circuit at the end of 2012 50 MINIs!!! It looked like skittles on the track Goodwood Meet V | JCW Adventures
MOTD 10 - 772 MINIs or there abouts. Thats the largest I've been too. Some other good ones were MTTS in 2010. I was at Indy in this crowd... And at Red Rocks in Colorado with this crowd...
MOTD, above, as a national meet. For "regional" meets, one of the best was Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix (late July every year). For 2012 we had 195 Minis! Not too shabby considering the relative size of Pittsburgh to other 'burgs...
For me it would be MINI's on the dragon fer sure. Maybe I'll be able to make it to the PVGP this year. That sounds like a nice day.
WOW guys I dont think we get meets that big The only one i can think of is the historic London to Brighton run They virtually shut down a town for it to happen
Another great gathering is MITO (MINIs in the Ozarks). 150+ at the '12 event. There are lots of pictures of that and previous years at MINIs In The Ozarks - Photos | Facebook
You should join us at MOTD sometime, you may not be in your own MINI but I bet you could find a passenger seat with any number of people.
I went to Mini East meets West a couple years ago, over 200 classic Minis, plus a large assortment of MINIs as well..... I also did the MTTS, I'm in the pic Nathan posted at Red Rocks, three rows back and three left from the middle - blue Clubman! I've also done the MINIs in the Ozarks and used to go to MINIs in the Mountains ever August, that event rountinely draws several hundred cars..... Weren't there like 2500 Minis and MINIs at the MINI United a few years ago in England, for the 50th anniversary?
MOTD 10, AMVIV and MITM have some really big turnouts, MOTD 10 was my largest. Each year they grow a bit more, MITM our local National seems to grow on non MTTS years. Come out to Avon, Colorado for MITM #8 in August. Don
Heard MITO is "...like moving MOTD to Vail..." from a friend of mine! Crashton, you DO want to go to PVGP. Even without the Mini event it's a rockin' good time.
WHAT??? Are you freaking kidding me??? Crashton has NOT been to PVGP??? Holy crap...now, THIS is news!!! Even I have been there....
Well yes, I have my old friend. Drove my freshly restored MG there in 1990. rrr: I'm planning to go there again. I want to shoot more vintage race pictures.
I've attended a bunch of AMVIVs. I think they varied in attendance year to year from about 250 to 500 in its hayday.
