Sorry Rick but they are at the dealerships and not selling that well. I heard this from my local dealer that has 4. (2) were ordered and (2) just sitting collecting dust.

I counted ~40 advertised on Auto Trader today. It will take time to move all 500 in the US. Same situation as with the GP1.

I'd trade my MCS for one if I could.

Dave we all know you have no love for 2nd gen Minis, whatever!

It is ok cause I see a lot of GP1s for sale too.

Since this is a GP2 thread....
Not stirring anything up, not hating just asking....

Tires ..Did you swap out? or are you still running the Kuhmos?

We sold a couple here and 1 customer swapped tires before delivery, the other kept the Kuhmos and drove off....

If I was getting the GP2 (and there is still time ;) ) I'd consider purchasing another set of rims with Michelin Pilot SuperSports.

The Kumhos are not really ideal for the street, but very useful for track days. Better to hold onto them and use for their intended use rather than burning through them in 4-5K miles of street driving IMHO. Or if you don't plan for track days, then you could sell them and recover some of the cost of the replacement tires.

Taking the free (warranty) replacements available through MINI USA is another option, but runflats + GP2 suspension could make for a rough ride.

    Just 2 cents worth...

Or just replace those rims with lighter (better looking) ones and wrap them in the new Dunlop StarSpecs DZII's or Michelin Pilot SuperSports.

Anyone with a GP2 have any responses?

Just curious about what tires you are going with on your GP2?

I swapped out for run rocks, until I can get something else. Then later I will buy different rims

I searched TireRack and it looks like no one is making a 17 inch wheel for the GP2 yet.

I was looking for a nice (cost effective) light OZ or Enkei Racing PF01 in black. They would look sweat.

I am sure BBS or Fikse would custom build you a race set if money is no object.

Hankook R-S3s. Until I see more tests on the DZIIs color me unconvinced they better than R-S3s. :D

Money is the issue and the finance officer said no on new tires right now. I know NM has wheels that fit. Way has them on his GP.

Apparently they were ALL at MOTD this year! That was an awesome sight and I'm glad I decided to make the trip!

SMOKIE AKA GPII 0060 resides in Northern VA and motors with DC Metro MINIs

    Cheers!

The wheels on WAYs GP did look good for a new GP.

My apologies for posting this originally in the wrong forum. If moderators could delete my post from the gen 1 thread...

#41 of the new generation is in Vancouver BC. This Sunday, members of SizeMINIClub.ca (I'm a moderator for that forum) will be visiting the member who owns it and he will be allowing members to do test drives.

Well there's two of them at Irvine Mini if you're having trouble locating one, this is your best bet.
