I have a 2002 MCS 6 speed manual and I am searching for the last hour and a half and it seems like no one wants to say what the fluids are. Even oriellys tried just saying my car takes DOT... okay dot 3, or 4? Is it synthetic. And they are just like it just says dot. I am sure there is a chart somewhere with all the fluid types and capacities... I am in desperate search as I have a auto x on sunday. Thank you in advance.
Sounds like sometig we should create for the Library. Anyway, MINI/BMW uses ATE as their supplier for Brake Fluid. ATE SL.6 is the factory stuff. It is a DOT 4 type fluid. A step up is ATE 200 or ATE Super Blue. The Super Blue is the same as the 200 but is blue. You do not want a DOT 3 fluid, that was used a long time ago. DOT 4 is the spec on all cars built since 1990.
Do you have the owner's manual? All that should be in there..... I have a Bentley manual, I'll check it later today when I get home from work.
Ummmmm..... OK.... Here's my input..... Enjoy.... View attachment BMWCurrentListing_of_SyntheticOils.pdf View attachment MD20-056.pdf View attachment SIM000202_Attachment.pdf
Nope. bought it used and it didnt have one, actually it wasn't even running and was missing several interior and exterior pieces along with intake/intercooler stuff. I had to reassemble the car.
Go to the top of the forum banner.... Punch the "Library" button... Copies of the manual can be found there... Owners Manuals - MINI Cooper 2002-2013 - Library And you don't even need a library card.... It's the honor system...
