....Filming "Top Gear-Korea in AZ? Jim Oops! A Cobra bites the dust ( literally) while filming an episode of “Top Gear-Koreaâ€. Flew it right into the ground. More info: Home Video Captures Helicopter Crash in Coolidge
I'm sure some parts of Arizona look like Korea But Coolidge is way out in the middle of nowhere in the desert.
The only unused airfield in Korea is north of the 38th parallel It is hard to maintain a production fiming schedule when threatened by a million artillery peices of your northern cousins The production crew "always wanted to be cowboys".
Having lived in Korea as an English Teacher for two years, I'd say there's probably not much of Arizona that looks like Korea. It's all mountains, rice fields, or cities, and not much else. The mountains are short and steep, and generally pretty heavily wooded, not much is built in the mountains except Buddhist Temples. Every weekend I'd hop on a bus or train and go to a new mountain and go climbing and camping. Even in the winter, except then I'd stay at an inn. I miss those times....
