With the talk here... http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/starting-line/424-obligatory-how-did-you-find-motoring-alliance-thread-66.html#post296257 Thought it would be fun to read your stories of how and why. For this just WTF Sewing Site refers to, I give you...http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/politics-other-messy-stuff/4263-where-did-sewing-site-come.html#axzz3NcY7hDdJ
I was banned for ..... Being Me Telling the truth about Sprintex Talking about RMW because Jan is Banned Exposing Mynes as fools Calling a GrayRaven "a Mod" an A-Hole because he calculated my time and distance from my home to the Dragon and said I was speeding. Speeding is not allowed on the NAM. The NAM sucks and so does InternetBrands because everytime the server crashes and when they restore it I am un-Banned. I have been banned sooooo many times it's no longer funny.
What time do you mean? I think i have been banned 3 times. One of them i think another vendor reported me for selling mounts. Another time, lack of respect for other members. Another time sending a pm to multiple mods with their home addresses and telling them they were *******s. Another time because i posted motoron's picture of his speedo pinned. Another time for having a duplicate account. Thats all i can think of right now.
So many rules just waiting to be broken... I guess I've not tried hard enough, but I don't visit there anymore.
I think they oughta spend more time policing folks that sell worthless crud and/or sell stuff that turn out to be "other than was advertised!" There's too much of that there.
I would invite anyone, possessing the patience of Job, to visit the link, offered below, to a thread on the sewing site wherein 'Fly'n Brick' (my evil twin's alter ego) tweaked the Emperor's nose. The final post where a comment was redacted, originally had a link to an article of the imprisonment of Earnest V. Starr in 1918 for sedition after refusing to 'kiss the flag'. Also considered for inclusion in that post was a link to a video of the 'Horst Wessel Lied'. Dave hits a bulls eye on this one. I dont think I wish to be a member of NAM any longer. - Page 2 - North American Motoring PS: I haven't been banned yet but it could be close. PPS: Wouldn't some of this almost qualify for Scott's Funny Saying...?
Banned....we had an entire group removed. NAM removed Mid Ohio Motoring in its entirety because we supported Nathan and Motoring Alliance.
50 points away. My big infraction? 100 points from Drew for this, and this is the reason I only use the marketplace anymore: A payday loan site was spamming NAM with loan ads, like 10 threads worth, all of which have been deleted. I replied in one of them, tongue in cheek, here's how it went down: I usually ignore Drew and his figurative short man's syndrome, but this one was so bad I got a bit wordy on him.
As had been mentioned by others.....which time First ban was for, if I remember right, getting snarky with Drew (Motor On) about an infraction regarding a post of some kind. Instead of being adult about it and simply discussing the infraction he proceeded to ban me. Convinced another Mod (maybe Nathan.....lol) to give the poor boy another chance. Proceeded to get bannned again for another reason....forgot what it was as it never really mattered. Got signed up again from work IP, proceeded to get banned again cause they found out it was me. Eventually banning just about all of Deschutes County employees IP's just to make sure I couldn't sign up under another name. Proceeded to sign up again with a proxy server at some time just to promote M/A and guess what.....banned again. I believe I still have a couple of names that haven't been banned yet, but haven't found reason to even visit the site anymore. Not even fun to poke the bees nest anymore.
It's all about numbers to IB/Drew, and they don't even know how to correctly interpret them. People who are passionate about cars are going to kick, scratch and claw about the littlest of things, it's part of the game. They don't want cutting edge and passion over there, they want to be white bread like Edmund's, and they've succeded. I can't believe anyone over there would allow themselves to be an unpaid tool of IB, but a tool is a tool...
I congratulated Nathan on the one year anniversary of M/A being on line. BAM! You be banned. I miss the arguments I used to have with Scott over there on the merits of DSC nanny's.
I never got banned over there. It just wouldn't sign me up. I did the registration stuff and never got a confirmation email. Then I found M/A. I don't think I have ever gone back there. No reason really. This is a much nicer place and people seem to like my posts pretty frequently.
Interesting reading the info on the link. Equally (if not more) interesting is reading that an individual profiled as being banned from the site is the same individual I was speaking about in my post above. What goes around, comes around... Just don't come around here!
I got banned because I can't sew. Yeah I talked a good deal over there, about my turbo'd knitting needles, ported and polished sewing needles, M7 loom with copied canards and pirated towing hitch, but they found me out.
I feel so unworthy! I did not get banned. I just got tired doing searches to find an answer and when I would break down and ask some a$$ would say do a search. I found MA and lurked for some time before it became home. I never go to that sight now. I do go to MINI2 some.
I have tried to get banned from there, but for some reason they just wont do it! Hopefully some time this year I can rack up enough points to tell Drew where to stick it!
