Hey everyone i have been left puzzled to why it wont start properly Anyone else had this problem [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cf5TGp3t4U]JCW Engine Problems - YouTube[/ame] Its an 2011 JCW with 30,000 miles on the clock 1st service at 26,000 miles Oil changed every 10,000 miles Its a daily driver and is driven on the track and motorways/freeway regularly any help will be much appreciated Recently put a sports cat on it - i gather that wont be the problem with start up?
Unplug any sensors when you put the cat on? Also, if you're doing track days, change your oil more frequently than 10k, regardless of what MINI says.
I don't think there is a way to put plug wires on wrong with that motor. HPFP is a known issue. Yes change your oil more than every 10,000 miles. The money saved from going long on oil changes will cost you much more in the long run.
If your car is in warranty, why aren't you at the dealer's and letting them find it and fix it for you? I also would not go 10K on an oil change, especially if you track the car, just my opinion of course...... I agree with Khuevo, I think it's the HP fuel pump, Here in the states they upped the warranty on that part to 10 years or 100K.
