Is there any reason not to use a WIX 57303 Oil Filter?
For the past 8 years of MCS oil changes, I have only used BWM-OEM, Mann, or Mahle oil filters but I received a free WIX filter so I am thinking of using it. The WIX filter actually looks better made and has more pleats than the BMW-OEM filter. But I am concerned because I have ready of problems with some aftermarket oil filters. However, I have also read that the WIX is as good as Mahle and Mann.

Wix/Napa gold is about as good as it gets. The OEM filter is good, but the Wix, IMHO is as good or better. I've used the Wix since my first oil change, never had an issue.

Thanks for the inputs. I will give the WIX oil filter a try.
