WMW recently came across a deal on a wrecked 08 MINI Clubman S. So with all the stuff I have to hall and errand running we thought it would be great to make it a project to fix up, mod and test some parts on. Looking at the pics the MINI was wrecked and considered a total loss. It was hit pretty good in the front. The damaged parts included Radiator, A/C condensor, bumper cover, bumper support, core support, electric water pump, electric fan, headlights, hood, grille, driver airbag, seat belt tensioner, and hole in the bell housing of trans. We have parts and will be putting it together ASAP.
Me thinks you are going to have a really nice rig for all the events you attend. Now that painted to match trailer to carry your inventory will make a really big splash......keep everyone posted. Kent
The car is together, but still need to get a new set of headlights. Can't find good used ones at a reasonable price.
Update So I've been driving the clubman and enjoying it. I ended up doing the entire timing chain update just to be safe as it will be getting much more power soon. First mods are done: Delete seat belt warning for pass seat one touch sunroof remote close windows remove TPMS, so I can install my other wheels More to come as I have boxes of stuff all over the place, but will be doing dyno tests before each mod so we can provide more data to customers.
I have programming software that I can change most functions and coding to make these work. I do it for customers at all the MINI events we go to, just need my laptop.
Yes we can do ALL MINI's and I've done some R60's too. Today I installed my scangaugeII so I will have a coolant temp gauge, WMW short antenna, and programmed the alarm light to flash even though I don't have an alarm.
I doubt that would void your warranty. Although some helpful tech at the dealer may fix those malfunctions at your next service. :mad2:
No it doesn't void your warranty, if you have a 2010 or newer you have to install wiring to make the light work. These program options can NOT be done by the dealer, we are using an aftermarket program to change these.
