    So....are the song lyrics "i drove my Chevy to the levy and the levy was dry" or "I drove my Chevy on a chase, hunt, or a hunting cry"??? Inquiring minds want to know. :)

    History on the 'engine color' for the Cheys;

    Back in the day.. it was 'Chevy Orange' ( remember that??)
    Today it is 'Black' !!

    Ever wonder why they went from that really cool color Orange to the Black??

    Here is the rest of the story!!
    EPA!!

    Yep... EPA!! The EPA ruled that when the engine block was painted Bright Orange, you could see all the boat anchors at the bottom of the lakes. So GM started to paint them black!!

    I figured the change from orange to black was to disguise the oil leaks. That is why I always painted my MG engines black. :D
