The official team passed this one and there's only one privateer, Daniel Oliveira, running a MINI Rallyman in Australia. He's having a real up and down time. He was 10th at one point and then he was listed as retired due to a mechanical problem. The next day he was back in it and fighting his way back up the order. Today was another downer, but they're learning... Oliveira’s Australian run to help MINI (wrc.com)
Oops, spoke too soon, he's listed as retired again. He got running again before though so...we'll see.
I take it he is gathering information for the factory team (Prodrive) as well as running for himself? Jim
Yup, that's the theory. ------------------------ Oliveira's MINI stayed down for the count the second time retired and he didn't run the last stages. Next up for the full factory team is Rally France, 29 Sep - 2 Oct.
Looks like the WRC Cooper is dealing with the Fords just fine and they have been at the game for a long time. This is a good sign in my mind. Jim
