The race was last week. Want to know who won?

Like CBS is gonna dedicate 6+ hours to ALMS?

This should have been on the Fox owned Speed Channel, but no, they have to stuff all that roundy round racing in there. So much for Fox being fair and balanced...

See, it's not really a race anymore, it's a "drama" played out on a race track. How much longer before it's scripted, just like the WWF?

Thinking about it, I'm disappointed because I wanted to watch the race as a race (I hadn't noticed the too short time slot) but I suppose it might be a good show.....maybe. :skep:

Not sure why Hollyweird can't just give us the stuff we want to see instead of all this other crap. Same reason government can't pull their heads out of that smelly dark spot I guess...

Le Mans racing-isn't that like watching an Indy car trying to pass a Volkswagen Pissant?

Glad I used the dvr to catch that. I'm not very impressed with that sort of "race coverage" but I can see how it would appeal to the masses with a short attention span and other things to do. From a technical aspect it looks to be shot and edited well. Some of the behind the scenes stuff was interesting too. But on the whole it was impossible to follow the race or to see how over a period of time things slowly unfold.

    Racing lite...

Less filling, a whole lot less taste.

I like that, well put. Some (most?) will disagree, particularly with the "less taste" bit but it was a show about a race rather than a race broadcast.

Sadly everything is going that way. The "Food Network" is no longer about cooking and has turned into a game show. I guess this is what the masses want to see, but I am not sure what this says about the masses.
