Anyone read this?? According to yahoo news, the new 2013 coupe was rated one of the ugliest cars of 2013. Well looks like I'm taking them off my homepage. Oh ya....the McLaren P1drool) and Charger R/T made the lineup too:mad2: here's the link The ugliest cars of 2013 - Yahoo! Autos
Idiots. Reminds me of the Top Gear episode a few years back where they named the Clubman the ugliest car of the year.
Judging by the bulk of the comments posted on the Yahoo site, whatever credibility the author and her two "expert" sources might have had in establishing the list has quickly evaporated. The consensus is that it's just two fringe opinions taking up e-space. As with many other opinion articles like this one, it's a thinly veiled exercise in trolling. Ms Elliott probably gets paid by the number of web hits.
The article is syndicated content from Forbes that Yahoo has republished with credit. The author has a page at Forbes » Contributor Profile » Hannah Elliott The piece is a bit of internet spamming really. Being a slide show it is designed to provide as little info as possible on each page while showing the maximum number of ads. Articles such as this are nothing more than advertising grabs. Their content is at best suspect. It's a gimmick.
Absolutely, you hit the nail right on the head. It's a common practice for those useless slideshows you find everywhere these days. Couple with Nathan's explanation about max ad views and it makes perfect sense.
Based on her avatar and bio, I'm even more certain now of the available depth of automotive acumen. :rolleyes5: I wonder how many of those supercar "rides around the block" were behind the controls?
Guess I should go look, form my own opinion. I really like the looks of the Coupe, I'm sure they will pan the Paceman next year! Do MINI adverts come up as you scan across the pictures, one wonders. Don
I like the Coupe, and if mine ever dies, I would get the Roadster or the Coupe. And yeah, the only true ugly cars on there are the Scions and the Smart car. Yep, the comments seem to agree with "us". :biggrin5:
