    OKAY

so get this, all day today the car ran fine. leaving my friends place i go to start the car and....nothing. no crank, nada. however, all the lights turn on, all the acc. turn on, the dash even indicated that the ignition is on but the door is open therefore to my understanding, the key...or better yet the fob...is being detected. however the car wont start. obviously being a bunch of 20 some year old guys we push start it and off i was. after getting home, i decided to re-start the car to see if it worked and obviously...it didnt start. any ideas? i read a couple places that the clutch sensor could have fallen but i checked and theres nothing that had fallen. im thinking maybe the starter but i feel as if that would have been a little more gradual rather that start now but not later. i tested the battery and read a 12.5V. so battery isnt dead.

    any ideas??

I'm not sure what is wrong with you car, but if you hit the "shift" once in awhile you could could fix you typing.

Could be the starter. They rarely give any warning when they are going. If you can't get it to start and all your electronics come on, that's probably the culprit. Take a small hammer and give the starter a few taps. Not too hard or you could crack the casing and then you are just screwed. That will get you by for a little bit untill the starter completly fails. I would suggest pulling the starter and taking it to Autozone, Advance Auto, ect and have them test it.

Check all the connections from the battery to the starter including the grounds.
