So how fast have you gone in your MINI? Doesn't matter where, track, street, autobahn...just post what you want to admit to and where it was. Me... Track, GPS indicated 136 on the back straight of Road Atlanta. Street, GPS indicated 130 on I-10 in Arizona on one of the straight stretches where you can see for miles.
200 KPH. 5 years ago about midnight, on a long sweeping S on the bald a$$ prairie, where I could see any headlights for 10 miles in any direction. Poco felt great, even had a little pedal travel left to the floor. Mark
I was doing about 45 on the way to work today. Can't tell you how fast I've gone on the track. I KEEP MY EYES ON THE TRACK AHEAD OF ME.
I've only done shorter tracks so I haven't done over +/- 110 mph at the track. One lonely day at a local expressway I got to 135 mph according to my speedometer (sorry no GPS)
125 on the track... But I usually keep it at 120, car starts to get a little squirrelly around there. That's where I'm hoping group4 is gonna help out. 136 is SCREAMING!!! I would have to check with air traffic control for take off before I tried that...Course your car is modded more than mine; no way I could hit that on any track I'm on the way my car is set up now. Went 160 at Road America as a passenger, with a professional driver behind the wheel. It was then and there that I pretty much decided the MINI was just fine for me, thank you...
For me, 105 (per the GPS) on a straight, flat divided four-lane highway around midnight. Still had a little pedal left, but I was approaching a hill so I slowed down.
OK, it's a not a MINI but check out the comment she makes at the 1:02 mark. Sorry about the 30 second commercial that it starts with. Woman Shows Off Car Nearly Half A Century Old
Better watch it... The Mounties will come in here and ticket us. On Road Atlanta at the MINI vs Porsche event (behind a a poke-a-long who wouldn't keep up with the pace car -- grrr :cryin: ) was doing about 110 down the back straight. Had a lot of room left for more, tho... On the street: 127 mph on a straight stretch of I-75 late one night with my Xenons blazing to light up any of the GSP/Cobb County cops who might have been lurking. Again, ran out of road long before I ran out of motor. Want to do a track day at RA one of these days, but need to get a good helmet first...
Have to keep it under the speed limit or else I get this terrible noise emanating from somewhere in the region the passenger seat. It's something I'm going to have the MINI service guy look into before the warranty expires.
I feel so naughty, just waiting for mods to lock thread , oh wait wrong forum... 120 by GPS on the way home one afternoon...

Nathan started the thread, so we're good. Besides, "Those Mods" can go suck rocks while they read this thread. Mark
