I have to tape F1 and watch it when I have time. Every time I try to tape it the channel it is on on my cable provider screws up! I'm soooo sick of this! I've hade the cable co out here several times but no help. FX, FOX news, NBS Sports channel never work correctly.:mad5::mad5::mad2: Does anyone know if there is a way to down load F1 on the web?
The only ways I know of are all illegal (torrents), so I don't do them.... Who is your service provider? TW time delayed the race for me, so while I got it recorded, it was well after the fact. Google is only about 2 years away from hooking me up - I can't wait!
I see your problem you are trying to tape Fox news. Who is your cable provider? Maybe you can switch. I have Verizon FiOS Fiber Line and do not issues. Oh please tell me you have a DVR and are not really using a VCR with tape. opcorn:
Man don't bring up a sore subject! I miss Blockbuster! Don't forget I still have a Earthlink email address.:lol: Nathan Dave is picking on me!
Holy Crap I had EarthLink also but that was the early 90's. As a matter of fact they were called "Internet in the Mall" before EarthLink bought them. Damn that was a long time ago. Dude for real, it time for you to walk into Y2K and get a real ISP like Verizon. TV shows look better, (we have this thing called HD now) Web speed is crazy fast and you can bundle everything together on one bill. Do not go with Crapcast if you can avoid them as they are horrible.
Hey, like DaveDotZero says in his posts, you don't have to read them! Have you ever checked the schedule at TVRacer.com? This guy is pretty good about posting updates when he gets them. He also lists the rebroadcasts that run later the same (or next) day.
So does this mean I should quit doing everything on command line? I have heard of a thing called graphical user interface but I think its just a fad. Unix has always been good enough for me!! Crapcast is my only choice.
Oh yea! What really makes me mad is if you go over 300Gb they start to charge more. Technically they are not my provider Earthlink is so why do they get to charge me more or throttle my speed. I wish I had my own line to the backbone!
I get confused when I hear people complaining about Comcast because my signal and service have always been great. I'm starting to think what you get from them might depend on where you live as reviews, etc, are all over the map...both literally and figuratively. I just ran another speed test and I'm consistently getting over 120Mb/s down which is more than plenty for me, but a friend about 45 miles away (also on Comcast) gets less than 10Mb/s down. Anyway, if you decide to consider switching providers make sure you do some research about how other providers are doing where you live, even right there in your neighborhood, if possible. You might find better, you might not. Back to the subject, sounds like you might need to go the way of torrents. I haven't done it myself but maybe you'll be able to get non-US broadcasts as well for a bit of variety and different views.
Yeah that does suck about Comcast. That is why I like my Verizon FiOS so much more since they don't do that at all and the speed is insane. In my area it mostly new construction and everything is wired underground (no tree issues from Rain, Snow or Ice storms) and each house has a dedicated line and each house been prewired with fiber.
Yea I called earthlink once about a problem. They asked where I live when they heard Memphis I was told they have lots of problems here. I will try the torrents.
