Hello all. I recently bought a 2011 Countryman S and have been looking for performance parts/DIYs/websites to ask questions about my Mini. Before I get started.. I have modified a previous car so I am not to unfamiliar adding bolt-ons. If it is above my knowledge I definitely go to someone with knowledge. I have a family and house so I don't have the time or money to just dump in the mini. I want to get around 215hp +/-. My countryman S is a daily drive. I have been scouring the internet for ideas and looking thru websites. I have found not alot of performance parts for countryman. I know car hasn't been out long so might not be parts at a fair price yet developed. So now to my main questions. The newer minis share the same engine but not necessarily everything under the hood. -Intake, strut bar, charge pipes turbo inlet pipes..etc ( example of what I am getting to). A lot of the images I have seen like the air intake and turbo inlet pipe look the same. -Could I use said performance parts for a R56,57... for a R60? -How many/ what part do the cars share? I live near Ft.Stewart -> Savannah Ga area so if there are any good places, people that can help. If you have YouTube, a great vendor that might be useful just post it. Thank you for any guidance. editTyped this on my phone and there is a delay in typing. So be easy with any grammar and spelling errors)
Welcome. You're on the right site for answers to your questions. If anyone can help you, it is the members of this forum.
Welcome to MA! Where there ain't be in no gramer police! Have you tried some of our sponsors? They are all very helpful. Sorry I can't help I'm a R53 guy.
Welcome to Mini Alliance! This is usually where I insert some sort of smart mouthed remark (kind of like verbally hazing, but without the pain and embarrassment), but nothing really is coming to mind. So what I think I'll do is sit back for a bit, observe others, sip a Martini, and perhaps something will come to mind. At any rate, you've come to absolutely the right place for questions on your Mini. I get questions answered daily about the Mini I don't even own yet, so when I do finally pick it up, it won't have any problems at all!
