Hello All, My name is William and I am new to the MINI World. I just bought myself a slightly used but in great shape 2003 Cooper S. It is some how 100% stock, at least for now. Me and a buddy drove 1000 miles to pick it up, and I drove it home. On the drive home I realized it needs a little more power. So over the winter she will be getting a make-over. I will make a build thread once I start building. Right now I am just starting to collect boxes of parts. I look forward to sharing my building adventure with you.
Welcome!!! Definitely check out Detroit Tuned. They're a very reputable shop and can help get your car as fast as you like and as modded as you like
OMG, Montana has to have some of the greatest scenery on earth! Enjoy that motor to the fullest up there.
Thanks All for the warm welcome. I have defiantly been spending money on parts, just waiting till I have them all before I start working on it. No sense in tearing things apart multiable times, unless of course something breaks. I can't wait to get it out on the scenic highways and back roads we have around here. The drive from Medford OR was pretty great.
Yes. And if you don't have any problems we'll find some for ya, or at least leave ya scratching your head.
Welcome. Check out the vendors who are regulars on this forum. Detroit Tuned, Helix, RMW for mods and eMINIparts.com for your service/maintenance parts. Also, buy a Bentley manual for your MINI (must have).
Thanks everyone. I have wanted a MINI since they came out with this version so 2002. I was able to finally get one in the color scheme I wanted and stock. I prefer to build it myself then buy someone else's forgotten/neglected project. I just got it registered today, and starting this year you can get a black license plate for you car in the State of Montana. I am becoming very familiar with the outmotoring.com website. The garage is starting to fill up with parts. I will take a picture in a day or two. I sure hope I can make it till the winter before I start working on it.
Whats the plan for the build? Many of us here can point you in the right direction so you can get it right on the first try.
