Loeb shocked the hill climb world a couple years ago with a record run that will likely stand for some time. Listen to Millen's interview (at 9:30). He was expecting to go 30 seconds faster, but lost power to the rear wheels half way through the run. Half of the run was FWD!
On one hand you won't loose power to elevation. On the other it's just wrong to have racing with no noise.
Electric race cars winning races oh my. The world as we know it is changing fast. An electric car winning Pikes Peak makes sense to me. No power loss as it gains altitude. That has always been a problem for internal combustion engines. Congrats to Rhys & his team for winning in their slot car.
Here's another electric. Nobuhiro 'Monster' Tajima's quickest run. [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVCHrOalctw"]TEAM APEV with MONSTER SPORT PIKES PEAK 2015 Finals - YouTube[/ame]
