      6) One thing I noticed when I was testing the car I was giving a go around 110mph and I noticed the voltage oscillating in between 12-13 Volts in the gauge. But on that condition the pressure on gauge was boost 17psi strong. And it is a new belt anyways.

      7) I was wondering if a bad alternator can be doing this effect on the car. When I get back home I hook up my oscilloscope on the alternator and it shows 13 Volts steady no break on no crazy wave, but test is at idle rpm.

      8) I have auto ingenuity software with Mini module on it I can get frozen frame, specific code and live data.

      Any advice?

      4) Additionally I have two pressure gauge in the intake one before and another after the super charger.

The one before the super charger is on the same outlet of the bypass valve, it shows vacuum in between 28 inHg (idle) 0 inHg(full throttle).
The one in the outlet after the super charger is reading 15 inHg (vacuum at idle) and 17 psi of boost (full throttle).
There is no oscillation in the readings while at idle.
      5) The problem actually pops up from nowhere normally when cruising in between 2K and 3K, sometimes feels like two cuts, like the engine has died and then the car throws service light and goes to limp mode, loses power and the power can go to only 2K rpm to keep moving in 30/40mph.

      Hey Keith,

I see you all over the place NAM or MA with always precise answers and opinions.

I have a 2006 Cooper S that pretty I service everything myself. I am kind struggling with a code P1688 that doesn't happen in high RPM it normally happens when driving in between 2nd and 3rd gear around 2k and 3k rpm.

      1) I checked vibration damper and it is ok. The car can hold high RPM boost 15psi.

      2) Serpentine belt replaced (the first hole on the tab of belt tensioner is totally out)

      3) The BPV seems to be working good, I have someone rev up the car and I can see the valve opening and closing. But when I turn off the car and I press the valve inward with my finger it does return very quickly and hit the stop metal making a metal sound.

Note: I never tested a brand new BPV valve to see how it should return after you press it inward and release.

      Hi Keith,
I m still loving the OS giken clutch btw. I wanted to ask if the Performance Friction rotors are still around? I looked on their site but see no listing - is this product still available?

Hi I was referred to you by someone on NAM. I have an 06 S that the exhaust has come apart in front of what I think is the cat and behind what I think is the front silencer. I dont have any manuals as I purchased used. Can you tell me if this can be or is supposed to be welded or held together with a clamp. Also do you have any recommendations for a reputable "mini" repair shop in San Marcos? Thanks
