LOL......just replaced the Xpel on my headlights last week! About the same life and it also was getting a bit "toasty" around the upper...

The muffler is only capable of reducing the sound by a finite amount. Think of it as the delta.

Check both side clearances on my set and it looks to be good with the offset I have. Thanks

Goldsmithy......give it a rest. Any change to the exhaust system making it flow better or more volume is going to change the sound. And it is...
