I've got a little trailer for my R53 as well. I started out on the assumption of 1400lbs total (including gear in the car) and 140 lbs hitch...
+1 for Zerk fittings! Whenever I have the back wheels off, I put a shot of grease into each bushing, plus a bit for the adjustable lower control...
