Thats a first Gen Cooper. That is probably the most reliable engine around. The S would have Intercooler on top of the motor and a supercharger...

@Dave.0 would know better than me. But I think it will do everything, even allowing you to code the ECU. It is a a very extensive tool.

Is it a Cooper S? If so these are signs of posable carbon build up on the intake valves. The S has an N14 engine that is direct injection....
I am not sure but you may be able to reach around and get ti back on without removing the intake.
