There is an aftermarket module that connects into the wiring for the sunroof. There is one for the first gen cars R50/R53 and one for the second...

Installed the one-touch sunroof open/close module, works like a charm!

I think Andy had his R90's repaired at the North End Wrench, and was happy with the results.
