- History:
- Production Date: 6/8/07. First owner's weekend toy (a 75 year old gentleman). He brought Cooper in last May (2012) and got new tires, tie rods and full inspection. A month later, he saw ads for the new roadster and traded his mini (Cooper) in on a new roadster. My wife and I happened into the Mini Store on a Saturday and test drove a standard Mini with moonroof. Fell in love with Mini's on the spot, but told salesman it HAD TO BE A CONVERTIBLE (I'm 70 and put around 2000 miles a year on my cars) as it would likely be my last car. Didn't want to pay new car prices, but wanted nothing older than 2007 since I'd read the horror stories of the CVT trannies from 02 thru 06 ... and my wife and I both have knee problems and have to have an automatic. Sales rep said he had a car coming in on trade on Monday and we'd have to see it to believe it. We test drove Cooper that Monday. We parked it with 19998 miles on it! And the rest is blissful motoring.
