Signed up for the waiting list in July '04, with a wait time quote of 18 months. In July of '05, we called NW MINI on a Sunday, while driving past, only to find out 6 hours later (at 5:00 pm) from the sales manager that our list entry had been lost. NW MINI wanted to make it right for us, willing to give up the very next build slot. That was too early, so we opted for an August build. Tried to track my deliver across the Atlantic, only to find I was on an NYK boat. But, I can now recite my entire VIN from memory, with no prompting. Ask me some time.

Passed out of the break-in period while on our first club drive just over a week later, and have barely slowed down since. As of this writing, I've clocked 86,100+ miles, and have no plans to replace the car.
